Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sattu Flour
  • 1/4 cup Jowari (Sorghum) Flour
  • 1/4 cup Ragi (Finger Millet) Flour
  • 1/4 cup Water Chestnut Flour
  • 1/4 cup Bajri (Pearl Millet) Flour
  • 1 cup Sago Flour
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp roasted Sesame seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Oil Spray

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, sieve all the flours together to ensure they are well combined and free of lumps.
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and roasted sesame seeds to the mixed flours. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. Add oil to the mixture and thoroughly combine the flour and oil.
  4. Gradually pour hot water into the mixture, a little at a time, and mix it in. Knead the ingredients to form a soft and pliable dough.
  5. Prepare the Chakli maker and add the prepared dough into it. Press the handle to shape the Chaklis into rounds.
  6. Grease a baking tray and arrange the shaped Chaklis on it.
  7. Spray a thin layer of oil over the Chaklis.
  8. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake the Chaklis in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, turning them over after 15 minutes to ensure even baking. Bake until the Chaklis turn golden brown and crispy.
  9. Once baked, allow the Crispy Baked Chaklis to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
