- In a deep bowl, mix besan, oil, carom seeds, papad khar, and salt. Knead into a soft dough using enough water till smooth.
- Transfer the powdered mixture to a large mixing bowl.
- Take a small portion of the dough and roll into a cylindrical roll in between your palms. Place it on a flat surface and gently stretch it vertically from one end to the other to form a long strip.
- Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Deep-fry a few fafdas at a time on a medium flame till they turn crispy and light brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Cool the fafda slightly and serve or store in an airtight container for later use.
